If you have ever been interested in finding out about spin classes, but too scared to actually go to one, read on to find out what the average class is like!
You begin by selecting a bike and fitting it to your body. This basically involves setting the seat and handlebars at the correct height for your build. The instructor should be able to help you out if you are new to it.
The class will often be loud, with heavy music and flashing lights – sometimes it sounds a bit like a disco!
You will warm up with the instructor guiding you through some basic movements. Once warm, you will often do a mixture of sprint tracks, where you lower the resistance and go as fast as you can, with squat tracks and standing up cycling. The different tracks make the class go by quickly and by the end you will be sweating buckets!
